UK Ireland Racing Tips 18th January 2023
Wolverhampton
01.40 Cicely 6/4
Miserable two runs ago, when supported in the ring, LTO demonstrated that it could make a clear run. The decision to move the 4-year-old filly to a new trainer, K. P. De Foy, was the right one, and when paired with Daniel Muscutt’s strong form, she looks ahead of this current mark. She ought to withstand the entire assault and overcome the 5 lb increase.
Wolverhampton
02.10 Chronograph 5/2
He was not unfairly punished on his first LTO course and distance. That day, he had the worst draw. Even though he was drawn wide in the 12, he did well to finish in the money despite finishing behind Al Alail the last time. Since Havlin is retained and holds the best draw, better is undoubtedly anticipated.
Wolverhampton
02.40 Hot Day 5/1 EW
This horse, 7 pounds lighter for this, won the CD in November 2021. The decent apprentice loses 5 pounds more. Sporadic since then, but not terrible compared to this race when a 2l 5th place finished at Lingfield 11 days ago. He could finish strong with a drop back in the distance.

Uttoxeter
12.55 – Missed Tee 9/2 ⭐️ 2 UNITS ✅ WINNER
This time last year, she easily won a point-to-point in Ireland. Since She has joined the Skelton team and has run once for them at Ffos Las, finishing fourth over 2m. There are some genuinely potential runners in this race, but she is the one they all need to defeat because of the speed statistic for that run.
Southwell
06.20 – Show Me A Sunset 5/1 EW (Next Best) ⭐️ 3 UNITS ✖️ Awful ride by the jockey
Since the change in stables, Show Me A Sunset has been running smoothly. It Finished first and second at Southwell in two 5f sprints in December. Those two runs had a mark of 70 and 75, now down to 68. All three victories have come from a mark of 70,69,70. It can go well today.

Lingfield
02.25 – Achille 11/8 (Next Best) ⭐️ 3 UNITS ✖️ Faller at first jump
Venetia Williams has been delivering victories. Shane Quinlan has had five successes in his last seven rides for Williams. Despite the less than optimum length of the trip, selection drops into class six for the first time. He should win this week-looking race.
Wolverhampton
04.20 – Fair And Square 9/1 EW NR (NAP) ⭐️ 5 UNITS
Fair And Square has previously placed in five of six races at Wolverhampton and ran well over c/d in his most recent two starts. He runs off the same mark today, and jockey Franny Norton enjoys riding this horse, making him appear to be an excellent each-way wager.
Wolverhampton
07.50 – Victory March 7/4 ✅ WINNER
Won on the last start and ran well to defeat LTO in Class 4, only losing to a progressive horse and finishing ahead of the competition. He soon turned out from the same mark again, dropping back into Class six. He has a steady look over this distance, and should win.

Huntingdon
12.45 Poker Master 3/1 (Next Best) ⭐️ 3 UNITS ✅ WINNER
This horse has managed four additional wins despite gaining 21 pounds since his first victory. He loves Huntingdon and seems to have improved with the added distance. He is in excellent shape, and the competition could be more robust.
Fairyhouse
01.25 Champ Kiely 1/1 (NAP) ⭐️ 5 UNITS ✖️
The Selection has undoubtedly the finest record in the book, handily defeating Brazil LTO before defeating Fil Dor the next time. That is the finest available form.
Fairyhouse
01.55 Banbridge 5/2 ⭐️ 2 UNITS ✖️
The Selection looks like the one to side with in this race. Two runs over fences this season and has done well both times. The last time he made his chase debut, he stepped up to set the standard and showed good footwork and solid jumping when necessary. Most likely, more just on the horizon as he advances with his pursuit and is the leading contender to take this challenge.
Fairyhouse
03.05 Tudor City 50/1 EW ⭐️ 2 UNITS ✖️
This horse looks likely to be competitive, having won here over this cd and finishing a close-up second in this same race. The jockey takes off 7lb today and has won a Grade A Handicap recently at Galway on this horse at odds of 22/1, so no issue by these big odds. The ground should be soft enough to help his performance today.
